Architectural Moroccan lighting handcrafted in Marrakech, where engraved brass, intricate geometry, and warm illumination come together in a timeless pair of wall sconces.

Inspired by the ornate lanterns and architectural details of Marrakech's historic medina, this matching set of two wall sconces brings the character of Moroccan craftsmanship into the home. Each sconce features a beautifully proportioned architectural silhouette, intricate pierced metalwork, and richly detailed brass panels designed to transform light into a warm decorative glow.

Placed together, the two sconces create a balanced composition on either side of a mirror, doorway, bed, fireplace, console, or architectural opening. When illuminated, the patterned brass allows light to filter through the fine openings, creating subtle layers of brightness and shadow across the surrounding walls.

The Craft Behind the Sconces

In the narrow lanes of Marrakech's medina, metalworking remains a craft shaped by patience and precision. These sconces reflect that tradition through their detailed brass construction and carefully formed ornamental panels.

The metal is shaped into the distinctive lantern form before the decorative sections are carefully pierced and finished. Traditional geometric and floral-inspired motifs create a rhythm across the surface, allowing the light to pass through the openings and reveal the craftsmanship once the fixture is illuminated.

The result is a piece that feels architectural even when unlit. During the day, the brasswork functions as a sculptural wall accent. At night, it becomes an intimate source of light, bringing depth, warmth, and movement to the room.

A Statement of Moroccan Craftsmanship

Rather than relying on perfectly uniform machine-made surfaces, these sconces retain the subtle character associated with handmade metalwork. Small variations in the brass, engraved details, perforations, and finish are natural characteristics of the artisan process.

These variations are not imperfections to be removed. They are part of the individuality of a handcrafted Moroccan piece and allow each set to carry its own sense of character.

Light & Atmosphere

The pierced brass panels are designed to interact beautifully with warm illumination. As light passes through the intricate openings, the patterns become more pronounced and can create soft decorative shadows across nearby walls.

Install the pair beside a bed for an intimate bedroom atmosphere, frame a mirror or console in an entryway, flank a fireplace or architectural niche, or use them to bring Moroccan character to a living or dining space.

Their ornate detailing also makes them particularly well suited to riads, boutique hotels, restaurants, hospitality spaces, and interiors inspired by Moroccan, Mediterranean, Moorish, eclectic, or contemporary design.

Five Finish Options

Choose from a selection of finishes to complement your interior. From the warmth of natural brass to darker tones, the available finishes allow the same handcrafted silhouette to work across a variety of decorative settings.

Finish availability may vary according to the selected configuration. Please select your preferred finish when ordering.

Installation Options

The sconces can be prepared for different electrical requirements, including plug-in or hardwired installation, with international compatibility options available depending on your destination.

For hardwired installations, professional electrical installation is recommended. Always confirm your local voltage, socket, and wiring requirements before installation.

Where to Style Them

Beside a bed or bedroom mirror
On either side of an entryway or doorway
Flanking a fireplace or architectural niche
Above a console table
Along a hallway or stairway
In a Moroccan-inspired living or dining room
In riads, boutique hotels, restaurants, and hospitality interiors

Handmade in Marrakech

Every pair carries the quiet character of Moroccan metalwork: carefully shaped brass, intricate ornament, and the subtle evidence of the artisan's hand. Designed to be enjoyed both as lighting and as decorative craftsmanship, these sconces bring a sense of warmth and timelessness to the walls they inhabit.

Two sconces. One harmonious composition. Handcrafted in Marrakech to bring Moroccan light and artistry into your home.

Care Instructions

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh chemical cleaners, and excessive moisture, as these can affect the brass surface and decorative finish.

The brass may naturally develop subtle changes in tone over time depending on the surrounding environment. This gradual evolution is part of the character of natural metal and can add depth to the finish.

If polishing is desired, use a brass-safe product and test it first on a small inconspicuous area. For outdoor or humid environments, place the sconces in a protected location and avoid direct exposure to rain.
