The Kilimy Moroccan candle lantern is a square iron lantern with a geometric pattern cut by hand and a matte black painted finish. It is handmade in Marrakesh, Morocco, by Mehdi Ba. It comes in three heights: 40 cm (15.7 in), 60 cm (23.6 in) and 80 cm (31.5 in).

The panels are open metal with no glass, and a door opens for the candle. Once lit, the cut-out pattern throws patterned light and shadow across the floor and nearby walls. Each height of this Moroccan candle lantern suits a different spot. Lanterns are sold individually.

This iron candle lantern is made for candlelight indoors and outdoors, as stated by its maker. It takes a pillar candle or an LED flameless candle through the door, and it has no wiring. An LED flameless candle is the safer choice indoors.

Stand the lantern on a stable, heat-safe surface.
The iron gets hot while a candle burns. Let it cool before you touch or move it, and never leave a lit candle unattended.
Dust the lantern with a dry cloth. Outdoors, wipe it dry after rain, because iron can rust where the paint is scratched and the metal stays wet.
Lift off cooled wax by hand.
