Handcrafted Moroccan Pottery

Shaped by hand in a Moroccan pottery workshop, these pedestal bowls bring the earthy character of traditional ceramics into a contemporary home. Each bowl is individually formed, glazed, and fired, creating a distinctive surface where deep emerald green meets subtle variations in tone and texture.

The elevated pedestal base gives each bowl a sculptural presence, while the softly scalloped rim adds an organic finishing detail. No two pieces are exactly alike, with natural differences in glaze flow, color, texture, and shape making every bowl part of its own small story.

The Craft Behind It

Each bowl begins as natural clay, carefully shaped by hand on a traditional pottery wheel. The artisan forms the rounded bowl and raised pedestal before finishing the characteristic irregular rim by hand.

The emerald glaze is then applied before the piece enters the kiln. During firing, the minerals in the glaze react with the clay and heat, creating variations in depth, pooling, and color across the surface. These natural changes are part of what gives Moroccan ceramics their distinctive handmade character.

What Makes It Special

Hand-thrown Moroccan ceramic shaped individually by an artisan
Rich emerald glaze with natural variations in tone and surface
Raised pedestal base that gives the bowl a sculptural silhouette
Organic scalloped rim finished by hand
Natural handmade variations that make every piece unique
Available in multiple sizes for individual styling or coordinated displays
Nesting options available for convenient storage and layered presentation

Inspired by Moroccan Ceramic Traditions

These bowls draw inspiration from the distinctive character of Moroccan pottery, where the relationship between clay, mineral glaze, fire, and the artisan's hand creates the final form.

The deep green glaze gives the collection a rich, earthy presence that works beautifully as both functional tableware and decorative pottery. Display them individually, combine different sizes, or arrange the full nesting set as a sculptural composition.
