About this piece

Crafted in Safi, Morocco

We make this set in Safi, where clay moves through daily life as quietly as bread and tea. The work begins with local earth shaped on the wheel, each piece formed separately so it can stand on its own.

The surfaces are painted by hand using mineral colors mixed in the workshop. The motifs follow Amazigh geometry learned through repetition rather than drawings. Each line comes from muscle memory built over years of practice.

The lidded pot anchors the set. It keeps warmth, protects what you serve, and carries the visual weight of the table. Every piece is fired in traditional ovens where heat settles the glaze and softens the colors.

No set leaves the kiln perfectly matched — those subtle differences reveal the handmade process behind every piece.

What Makes This Piece Different

  • Individually wheel-thrown pieces, not molded
  • Hand-painted motifs applied freehand
  • Mineral pigments that deepen naturally during firing
  • A lidded serving pot designed to hold and protect food
  • Subtle variations in shape and color from kiln firing
  • Produced in limited batches due to drying and firing time

How It Lives in Your Space

This set naturally comes out when food moves to the center of the table. The bowls gather olives, bread, or fruit, while the lidded pot keeps warmth and quietly draws the eye.

When not in use, the pieces rest beautifully on open shelves. Their color softens the room, and their weight reminds you they belong to daily life — not display alone.
