In the metalworking quarters of Marrakech, copper is shaped by hand into objects designed to live with their surroundings. This sculptural pendant follows that tradition, beginning as copper that is carefully formed and hammered into its distinctive flowing silhouette.

The surface carries a blue-green patina over the natural warmth of the copper, creating a finish with depth, variation, and an unmistakably handcrafted character. Rather than appearing perfectly uniform, the surface reveals subtle shifts in colour and texture that allow the metal to retain the marks of its making.

A Sculptural Form Made for Light

The curved shade is designed to direct light downward and outward while allowing the warm interior of the copper to become part of the visual experience. When illuminated, the contrast between the aged exterior and glowing copper interior gives the pendant a warm, atmospheric presence.

Its sculptural profile works particularly well above dining tables, kitchen islands, coffee tables, desks, or in larger living spaces where the lighting itself can become an architectural feature.

The Craft

Each pendant begins with copper that is shaped and worked by hand. The repeated hammering creates subtle variations across the metal, giving the surface a tactile quality that cannot be reproduced perfectly by a factory-finished shade.

The patina is then developed through oxidation, bringing blue-green tones across the copper while allowing warmer areas of the original metal to remain visible. Over time, the finish can continue to develop, making the relationship between copper, patina, and light part of the character of the piece.

The pendant is available in multiple sizes ranging from 20 cm to 60 cm in diameter, allowing the design to work across different spaces and proportions.

Every Piece Is Slightly Different

Handmade copper does not behave like a machine-made surface. Variations in hammer marks, patina density, colour, texture, and small surface details are natural characteristics of the process.

No two pendants will have exactly the same patina pattern. These differences are not imperfections to be removed—they are the visible record of the artisan's hand and part of what makes each piece unique.

Care Instructions

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals, or aggressive metal polishes, as these can alter or remove the patina.

Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

Worldwide from Morocco via DHL Express with full tracking, and shipping is free. Ready-to-ship orders are dispatched within 3 business days and arrive in 7 to 12 business days. Made-to-order pieces add their crafting time, shown on the product page.

Who pays customs and duties?

Duties and taxes are included on orders shipped to the United States, with nothing to pay on delivery. For all other destinations, import duties and taxes are not included and are collected on delivery.

Can I cancel or return an order?

Cancel within 24 hours of ordering, before fulfillment. Returns are free within 14 days: email us and we handle the pickup and the full refund. Made-to-order pieces are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or not as described.

Is it really handmade?

Yes. Every piece is made by hand and carries an Origin Passport recording its city and craft. The maker is named when they have agreed to it.

How are the makers paid?

Kilimy is an artisan-owned model. The maker keeps the majority of each sale; our share covers processing, handling, and shipping.
