Hassna wraps each mirror frame by hand — strand by strand, round by round — until the raffia sits tight and even against the arch. The shape is a Moorish arch, the same form that defines the doorways, windows, and niches of Marrakech's medinas and riads. She reduces it to three sizes and hangs it on a wall. Natural, warm, and made entirely without a machine.

The set arrives in three sizes — small, medium, and large — designed to be grouped together on a single wall or distributed across a room. The raffia is pale and raw, the color of dried grass in the Atlas foothills, which means it sits against white walls, linen walls, terracotta walls, and dark walls with equal ease. The mirror glass at the center reflects the room back at you. The raffia frame reflects where it came from.

Materials & Craft

• Hand-wrapped raffia frame — every strand wrapped by hand around the arch form, which is why the surface has a slight texture variation that a machine-woven frame never achieves

Care Instructions

Wipe the raffia gently with a dry cloth to remove dust. Avoid water or moisture, which can loosen the fibers. Hang away from direct sunlight to preserve the natural pale tone of the raffia.
