Handcrafted in Essaouira

Handcrafted in the Coastal Workshops of Essaouira

In the medina workshops of Essaouira, where Atlantic winds meet centuries-old craft traditions, artisans bring together ceramic and metalwork to create pieces with a distinctly Moroccan character. This serving dish pairs a rich ceramic base with intricate hand-worked metal detailing, creating a striking contrast between the deep blue surface and the luminous decorative elements.

The central floral-inspired motif and surrounding geometric ornamentation are carefully worked across the surface, while the metallic rim frames the dish with a refined finishing touch. Each piece carries the subtle variations that come from working by hand, making it unique to its maker.

Made for Serving & Display

Measuring approximately 29 cm in diameter, this generous serving dish is suited to both everyday hosting and special occasions. Use it to present dates, nuts, sweets, fruit, appetizers, or other shared dishes, or display it on a dining table, console, or open shelf as a decorative Moroccan accent.

The deep blue ceramic provides a rich backdrop for the detailed metalwork, allowing the decorative pattern to catch the light beautifully. Its generous round form makes it equally useful as a serving piece or as a statement object within the home.

The Craft Behind It

The dish reflects the meeting of two traditional Moroccan crafts. The ceramic foundation is carefully shaped and finished before the decorative metalwork is added. Artisans work the metal by hand, creating the raised ornamental details and patterned borders that give the surface its distinctive texture and depth.

Small differences in the placement of details, surface texture, finish, and coloration may occur from one piece to another. These variations are a natural part of handmade Moroccan craftsmanship and give each dish its own character.
