The Craft Behind the Lantern

The making of this lantern begins with copper carefully shaped by the artisan's hands. Through controlled hammering, the metal gains its distinctive form and subtle surface texture. Every strike leaves a small variation, giving the finished piece the depth and individuality associated with genuine Moroccan handcraft.

The geometric framework is then assembled to create the lantern's characteristic architectural silhouette. Glass panels are carefully fitted within the copper structure, allowing the material to catch the light while maintaining the defined lines of the design.

Yes. Every piece is made by hand and carries an Origin Passport recording its city and craft. The maker is named when they have agreed to it.

How are the makers paid?

Kilimy is an artisan-owned model. The maker keeps the majority of each sale; our share covers processing, handling, and shipping.
