In Safi's historic pottery quarter, where generations of artisans have shaped Morocco's ceramic tradition, clay is transformed into vessels made for gathering. This nine-piece serving set carries that heritage through its bold hand-painted patterns, warm colors, and softly irregular handmade forms.

Each piece is shaped and decorated by hand, with traditional Moroccan motifs flowing across the curved surfaces. The combination of golden yellow, terracotta orange, and deep black creates a warm, expressive palette that brings an unmistakable Moroccan character to the table.

Made for Moroccan Gatherings

The set includes one generous lidded serving tureen accompanied by matching individual bowls, creating a complete presentation for soups, stews, harira, couscous broth, and other shared dishes.

The tureen measures approximately 25 cm wide and 15 cm high, while the individual bowls measure approximately 10 cm in diameter. These proportions are the same as our blue Moroccan ceramic serving set, offering a comfortable scale for everyday meals as well as special gatherings.

The Craft Behind the Pattern

Each piece begins with terracotta clay that is carefully shaped before being prepared for decoration. Artisans then paint the traditional motifs by hand, building the pattern through repeated lines, curves, and geometric forms.

The final firing sets the colors and glaze, giving the ceramics their characteristic depth and glossy finish. Because every piece passes through an artisan's hands, slight variations in color intensity, brushwork, shape, and glaze are naturally present. No two sets are perfectly identical.

Duties and taxes are included on orders shipped to the United States, with nothing to pay on delivery. For all other destinations, import duties and taxes are not included and are collected on delivery.

Yes. Every piece is made by hand and carries an Origin Passport recording its city and craft. The maker is named when they have agreed to it.

How are the makers paid?
