In the coastal pottery city of Safi, where clay and craftsmanship have shaped Moroccan tableware for generations, artisan Bennasser brings more than twenty-three years of experience to each piece. This hand-painted ceramic plate combines a simple radial design with the character and subtle variations of traditional Moroccan pottery.

Bold hand-painted stripes radiate from the center toward the rim, creating a clean graphic pattern that feels equally at home on a traditional Moroccan table or in a contemporary setting. Available in a selection of vibrant colors, each plate adds an individual touch to everyday dining.

The Craft Behind It

Each plate begins with clay shaped on a traditional foot-powered wheel. Once formed, the piece is allowed to dry before being fired and prepared for decoration. The radial stripes are then painted by hand, with the artisan guiding each brushstroke around the surface to create the distinctive sunburst-like pattern.

A final firing sets the decoration beneath the glazed surface. Because every plate is individually shaped and painted, slight differences in stripe width, spacing, color intensity, and form are natural characteristics of the handmade process.

Worldwide from Morocco via DHL Express with full tracking, and shipping is free. Ready-to-ship orders are dispatched within 3 business days and arrive in 7 to 12 business days. Made-to-order pieces add their crafting time, shown on the product page.

Who pays customs and duties?

Duties and taxes are included on orders shipped to the United States, with nothing to pay on delivery. For all other destinations, import duties and taxes are not included and are collected on delivery.

Yes. Every piece is made by hand and carries an Origin Passport recording its city and craft. The maker is named when they have agreed to it.

How are the makers paid?
