Crafted in Kilimy's Safi ceramic workshop in Marrakesh, this planter carries forward centuries of Moroccan pottery tradition. Skilled artisans hand-shape each piece from terracotta clay, then meticulously hand-paint geometric patterns that echo the tilework found in historic riads and palaces. The smooth glazed exterior contrasts with the raw terracotta interior, creating a dialogue between refinement and earthiness that defines Moroccan ceramic art.

Materials & Technique

Formed from natural terracotta clay sourced near Marrakesh, each planter is shaped by hand on the wheel, then left to dry before the first firing. Artisans apply a smooth glaze to the exterior surface and hand-paint traditional geometric motifs with precision brushwork. A final kiln firing sets the glaze and patterns permanently. Measuring approximately 5 inches in diameter and height, the planter's compact scale suits windowsills, shelves, and tabletops beautifully.

Character & Variations

Because each planter is handmade and hand-painted, natural variations in color intensity, pattern placement, and glaze finish make every piece unique. These subtle differences are marks of authentic craftsmanship, not imperfections.
