In the historic medina of Fès, where Moroccan pottery traditions have been refined across generations, maâlem Najem brings more than 28 years of experience to every piece. This elongated ceramic serving plate combines a distinctive rectangular silhouette with intricate hand-painted geometric decoration.

The white ceramic surface provides a luminous foundation for a rhythmic composition of blue, red, green, yellow, and black. Repeating geometric bands frame the central pattern, creating a design inspired by the visual language of Moroccan decorative arts.

The Craft Behind It

Each plate begins with ceramic clay that is shaped by hand before being prepared for decoration. Once the form has been fired and the surface prepared, the artisan carefully paints the geometric composition by hand, building the pattern section by section across the elongated form.
