In the historic workshops of Marrakech, El Hadj Ahmed has dedicated more than thirty-one years to the traditional art of working brass. His approach is rooted in patience, precision, and an intimate understanding of the material.

Each lantern begins as individual brass components that are carefully measured, cut, shaped, and finished before being assembled into its distinctive multi-pointed form. Decorative elements are worked by hand using traditional metalworking techniques, allowing the surface to retain subtle marks and variations that reveal its handmade origin.

The result is a piece that carries the character of the artisan rather than the uniformity of factory production. Slight differences in the brass surface, engraving, joints, and glass are natural characteristics of the process and make every lantern individually distinctive.

A Modern Interpretation of Moroccan Geometry

The dramatic star form gives this pendant an architectural presence inspired by the geometric language found throughout Moroccan design. Care Instructions

Dust the lantern gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. For the glass, use a clean, lightly damp cloth when necessary and dry immediately afterward.

Avoid abrasive materials, harsh chemical cleaners, steel wool, and prolonged exposure to moisture. These can scratch the brass or alter its natural finish.

If you wish to maintain a brighter brass appearance, use a suitable brass polish sparingly and according to the manufacturer's instructions. For a naturally aged appearance, simply allow the metal to develop its patina over time.
