This hand-painted serving set arrives from the Marrakesh workshop of Abdelhak Az., where generations of Safi ceramic knowledge meet contemporary design sensibility. The collection includes one generous 25-centimeter plate accompanied by six smaller 13-centimeter plates, each surface animated by geometric and floral motifs that reference Morocco's deep decorative vocabulary.

Safi Terracotta and Modern Traditionalism

Abdelhak works exclusively with Safi terracotta clay, prized for its warm ochre base and receptiveness to glaze. His approach—what he calls modern traditionalism—honors wheel-throwing and hand-painting techniques passed down through Safi's pottery lineages while embracing cleaner lines and versatile palettes suited to today's tables. Each plate bears the subtle irregularities that distinguish handmade work: a slightly thicker rim here, a brushstroke's gentle variation there.

Serving and Styling
